Cabana Ready

Goodmorning my loves! I was hoping for another snow day today, but doesn't look
like that is going to happen! However, on my snow day yesterday, I found these fabulous
Cabana Ready Maxi's! How perfect would they be with an adorable fedora,
some flip flops,  aviators, and the perfect beach tote?!
I know recently I have posted a lot about Spring/Summer,
(as I diagnosed myself with SAD-Season Affective Disorder, lol)
but boy do I get more and more ready for it everyday!

ONE more thing…
A few weeks ago I was able to judge the Miss St. James High School Pageant and boy were there some GREAT contestants. We were blown away during interviews by the passion that Aubree Johnson not only had for music, but her school and peers too. It is such a beautiful thing to see the youth of today having something to live for and a drive to inspire others. Aubree received a Golden Ticket at The American Idol Experience and on the 29th is going to compete for America's Got Talent! She needs us to subscribe to her music channel on Youtube! Below is the song she sang the night we saw here and blew us away! Aubree won "Best in Talent" and "Miss St. James High School." I believe with my whole heart this girl is going places!! Please, take a listen below and make sure you subscribe!
Lets help her make her dreams come true!

IMG_0743

I am so honored and blessed to be able to spread the story of
The Giving Keys on my blog.  The Giving Keys was started with a New York hotel room key.
Caitlin Crosby, founder of The Giving Keys, wore the key as a necklace and
had the idea to start engraving old, used keys with inspirational words.
Realizing that in a way we are all like these keys - unique, flawed, scarred,
and at risk of being discarded - Caitlin began encouraging people to wear
and embrace the message on their key necklace.
The Giving Keys exists to employ those transitioning out of homelessness to make
jewelry out of repurposed keys that get sold and shared around the world.
Each key is unique and carries a message like HOPE, STRENGTH, DREAM or COURAGE.
When the wearer of the key encounters someone else who needs the message on the key,
they give it away and then send us the story of their key being paid forward.

Today, the products are sold in over 200+ stores in the US and internationally.
The Giving Keys now has 10 employees that they are trying to transition out of
homelessness.  They have helped them open bank accounts, provided them
with financial planning support and helped them get their own apartments and support themselves.

Start your journey today by ordering YOUR key.
When you get your key, you must give it away at some point to a person
you feel needs the message.  Then post your story to their website.
You can read more stories here.

Headbands of Hope

How pretty are these headbands?! Well, they have an ever prettier story!
Recently, I learned about an organization called Headbands of Hope.
Since 2012, Headbands of Hope has been able to distribute headbands to beautiful
girls all across the nation.  Many girls that are fighting childhood cancer lose
their hair during chemotherapy treatments and for girls and women everywhere,
their hair is part of their feminine identity.  Unfortunately, wigs are not the most
comfortable thing, ESPECIALLY for little girls.  Headbands are the perfect way for these
girls to keep their feminine identity and have a constant reminder that they're not alone.

Headbands of Hope provides a movement to spread hope in all girls and

fight in the battle against childhood cancer, one headband at a time.

For every headband purchased, one is given to a girl
with cancer and $1 is donated to St. Baldricks foundation
to fund life-saving childhood cancer research.

I learned about Headbands of Hope from one of my beautiful friends, Taylor Stathes.
Taylor has a heart of gold and has a passion for children regardless of their abilities or appearance.
Taylor was able to get involved and is a representative for the organization not only at
La Verne but the whole state of California.

To purchase, click here.

Be sure and enter the code "statheshope" for $1 off your FAVORITE headband.
Don't forget they make GREAT gifts too!
Let's all get together and put a smile on these beautiful girls faces.

There is even headwear for boys, too!

For every piece of headwear (hats, buffs, tees) purchased,
one is given to a boy with cancer and $1 is donated to
St. Baldricks foundation to fund life-saving childhood cancer research.
